Research shows significant need for quality home health care, health centre care, community-based social care and youth development within these localities. As a charitable Incorporated Organisation, we believe that by engaging qualified, competent and passionate volunteers and staff to provide organized and responsive health and social care in these communities, we can help to relieve the pressure on health care providers and social services as well as improving well-being of residents. PA Medicare Foundation, a registered charity based in the London Borough of Southwark (UK), it’s operated by it’s principal investors who are it’s trustees and principal operators.
Consumers of our services will be those individuals and families in need of Health care and/or Social care services, individuals in isolated localities requiring health care services especially in Sierra Leone and after school students who are normally left on their own whilst parents are still at work. Patients are usually referred by social services, self-referral and by other charitable organisations. PA Medicare foundation has developed excellent working relationship and reputation with many of these organisations, through our commitment to patient care, and experience of our staff and volunteers who have been providing home health care services, community-based social care through other health organisations they have been working with for the past twelve years, and through the presentations we have made to the communities via marketing tools and personal interactions.
Our Charitable Incorporated Organisation is currently in progress of registration with the charity commission (UK) as per legislation for charitable organisations. Insurance certification will be secured that will help us to be fully compliant with the legislation and guidelines for public liability and employee insurance requirement for registration and right to provide health care and social services to patients.
There are international charitable organisations in Sierra Leone including Medicines san frontier, Oxfam, Red Cross and International Rescue committee (IRC). However, these are mainly satellite operations based out of the Capital Freetown. Although IRC is operating in our area do not offer services to all of our target localities, they also do not offer the unique blend of home health care, health centre care, holistic diagnosis, community social care which PA Medicare Foundation will be providing.
PAMF is incorporated with founding members working in the health and Social Care sector.
